What’s the business that you came up with during the IDEA Centre and where is it now? I started up my art business and grew my customer base by putting myself out there and doing things that were outside of my comfort zone, such as having my painting auctioned off live at Taste of the Maritimes and sharing my pitch on Facebook for 6.8K people to see and also receiving an award for that pitch in Fredericton at Startup Canada Awards! I most certainly did, I realized that I could be doing something I love and make more money than I would working a part time job that I don’t love.
What are you doing and working on nowadays? I am currently working on completing my long list of commissions as well as working on finishing and publishing my website!
If a high school student contacted you now, in what ways do you think you could help them? I could give someone motivation and support to keep going and to make their idea a reality. I know that it doesn’t always seem possible but this past year I have done so much that I never in a million years thought I would have done. I have been told that I have extreme determination and I know how to set realistic goals and how to make them happen!
What advice do you have for young entrepreneurs that are just starting out? Anything is possible! Literally!
