What’s the business that you came up with during the IDEA Centre and where is it now? I started up a youth fitness program for teens/students in the city of Saint John. I had such an amazing experience, it was so fun getting to start my own business. I loved getting to meet people who could help me and getting to help others. I’m going to keep going with my business while I’m here for a year before I start university.
What are you doing and working on nowadays? Nowadays I’m not working on much, just trying to figure out what to do and where I want to go when I continue with my business.
If a high school student contacted you now, in what ways do you think you could help them? I could them get in contact with people, brainstorm ideas for a business, steer them in the right direction of starting a business.
What advice do you have for young entrepreneurs that are just starting out? My advice for young entrepreneurs would have to be to not worry if you don’t have a business idea right off the bat, because I know I didn’t when I first started out and you will find one eventually. You just must think about what you’re most passionate about. Also, I would say to not be stressed if you choose to change your idea over time or to not be stressed if you can’t find a mentor.
Favourite quote? My favourite quote would be “Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” - Winston S. Churchill
