What did you do while at the IDEA Centre?
While I worked at the IDEA Centre, I was able to collaborate with amazing female entrepreneurs around Saint John. I was able to spread awareness about all the great women and their projects in our city.
Did you keep going with the idea after you were finished?
Sadly, I didn’t keep the idea going as sometimes life gets in the way. I know the idea is always there if I chose to go back.
What are you working on nowadays?
I’m currently enrolled in a BA program at UNB Fredericton.
If a high school student contacted you now, in what ways do you think you could help them?
I would be more than happy to talk to anyone about their business ideas. I think as a student who as already gone through the program, I’m able to share insights and tell them the expectations. Secondly, I love people and I think interpersonal skills are essential when you’re starting your own business; you need to be able to connect with the right people.
What advice do you have for young entrepreneurs are just starting out?
My advice is to be unwavering. Don’t doubt your capabilities. You have the ability to do whatever you want and you have all the resources to accomplish it. Not to forget, as well take your mistakes in stride, don’t become discouraged. Because from mistakes comes growth.
